FiiO introduces the M6, a new High Resolution lossless Music player you can control from your phone

Apart from the FA7 earphones released earlier, FiiO has also released a new High Resolution Music Player – the M6. This comes with Wi-Fi streaming capabilities, Hi-Res Bluetooth audio support and a new technology known as FiiO Link, which lets you remotely control the DAP via the FiiO Music App on your smartphone thanks to a Bluetooth connection. According to the website, FiiO Link will let you control playback, volume and display lyrics for what’s playing on the M6 on your smartphone, so you won’t have to keep both player and smartphone within arm’s reach.

Play your lossless SBC/AAC files on the M6 with no issues thanks to its support for AirPlay. Wireless formats such as LDAC, HWA and aptX HD are also fully supported, as are music streaming services thanks to its dual-mode Bluetooth capabilities.

With FiiO Link, you won't have to balance both phone and DAP separately.

With its custom Android OS, the M6 now adds support for a select list of apps like NetEase Cloud Music, MOOV, Tidal, KKBOX, Spotify, Qobuz, Roon, Deezer, JOOX, Bandcamp, and the Sony headphones app. Have more flexibility than before when it comes to music choices, as the M6 supports ISO, DFF, DSF, APE, WAV, FLAC, AIF, AIFF, M4A, WMA, OGG, AAC, ALAC and MP3 formats.

The M6 uses the same ESS Sabre 9018Q2C DAC as the M7, but has a better optimized author circuit, allowing it to provide up to 50% more power. Despite that, the player is said to have the lowest signal-to-noise ratio of any FiiO player on the market, with a SNR of ≥ 3uV. It comes with USB output capabilities, and fully supports native DSD output up to DSD64/128, as well as the ISO, DSF and DFF formats (except dst-encoded DSD files).

Thanks to a large 1,200 mAh battery, the M6 offers music playback of up to 13 hours on a single charge, with a deep standby mode of more than 26 days. It charges via USB-C, and takes just under 2.5 hours for a full charge. It’s available now for S$279 at all authorized FiiO retailers.
