It's a real bummer, but we understand.

Well, it's time to add another entry into the "Events cancelled due to Covid-19" list, and this time it's one of the Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestra World Tour performances.
The concert's organiser Avex Asia explained their decision to postpone the July 4th performance on Facebook, citing health concerns due to Covid-19 as the primary reason. You can check out the full post here, which is already filled to the brim with optimistic comments from the public.
It's hardly the first such casualty of the pandemic - even long-standing conventions like E3 and gamescom have already held their hands up in surrender, so at this point, the World Tour is just another victim. However, while E3 presentations and suchlike still have the option of going digital, there isn't much of a point in duplicating the orchestra performance via livestream. Why? Because a concert is just one of those things where you have to physically be there to appreciate, and it's not really going to be the same otherwise.
Anyway, like every other fan on Avex Asia's Facebook post, we're fully in agreement with postponing it for the time being, although the wait is definitely going to sting. Guess that's just how the cookie crumbles.
