Facebook partners with PayPal for peer-to-peer payment in Messenger
Facebook and PayPal deepen their partnership with the launch of peer-to-peer payment in Messenger.

Facebook Messenger is more than just an instant messaging app now; it has transformed into a peer-to-peer (P2P) payment channel thanks to the partnership between Facebook and PayPal.
Available in U.S from 20 October, people can send and request money using their PayPal account without leaving the Messenger app. To make a payment, people have to tap on the blue plus icon and select the green Payments button to send or request money.
Aside from the P2P payment service integration with Messenger, PayPal also announced its first customer service bot for the instant messaging service. This allows PayPal customers to receive account support directly in Messenger. The customer service bot can assist in resetting passwords, handling account inquiries, and helping with refunds or payment issues.
