EZ-Link releases enhanced app with SGQR compatibility, rewards, and cashback features

The EZ-Link Wallet feature for electronic payments just received more functionalities, offering greater ease of use and convenience.

"A lot has changed since we launched the first EZ-Link card almost two decades ago," said Mr. Nicholas Lee, Chief Executive Officer, EZ-Link Pte Ltd. "Alongside Singapore’s Smart Nation aspirations, we must also strengthen our digital ecosystem to serve Singaporeans beyond transportation. Our upgraded EZ-Link Wallet is a part of this ongoing effort, and we’re looking forward to introducing more initiatives over time."

Launched at the start of 2020, the EZ-Link Wallet inside the EZ-Link app can be used for payments at local merchants and transport needs. Users could make payments using the nationally unified QR code system (SGQR).

Now, the app is on par with regular card transactions, with each S$0.10 spent netting one EZ-Link Rewards point. Users can also top-up their EZ-Link value via the app, with cashbacks and rewards credited directly into the accounts.

Upcoming features include a new EZ-Link Motoring feature that allows people to use the EZ-Link Wallet to pay ERP tolls and parking fees. EZ-Link Motoring is the rebranded EZ-Link Pay feature. This, combined with EZ-Link Wallet and EZ-Link Rewards would house all three functionalities within one EZ-Link app.

The upgraded EZ-Link app is now available on iOS, Android, and Huawei AppGallery. To learn more about the app, you can also visit the official EZ-Link website here.
