EZ-Link app makes way for SimplyGo concession cards

EZ-Link app now supports SimplyGo concession cards.

In a bid to digitise our public commute, the Land Transport Authority (LTA), EZ-Link, and Infocomm Media Development Authority’s (IMDA) SG Digital Office officially launched SimplyGo concession cards.

With the exception of School Smart Card holders (Primary, Secondary, and Junior College/Millennia Institute concession), cardholders can upgrade their existing concession card to a SimplyGo concession card.

Upgrade eligibility of concession cardholders moving on to SimplyGo concession cards.

LTA expects this upgrade to affect two million cardholders, some of which are caregivers to senior citizen concession cardholders with caretakers who need an easier way to track their ward’s balance, expenditure, and means of topping up without having to visit a physical machine.

At the same time, EZ-Link has announced support for SimplyGo concession cards via it’s EZ-Link app. Doing so qualifies concession cardholders to earn EZ-Link Reward points, top-up cards remotely (or automatically via Auto Top-Up), and block misplaced or lost cards instantly (instead of a 48-hour wait time).

More information about EZ-Link’s SimplyGo concession card compatibility can be found here.
