The exhibitor list for E3 2020 has been leaked - which publishers are attending?

E3 2020 is starting to look really weird.

A list of exhibitors at E3 2020 leaked this morning, giving us a first look at which game publishers and developers will be attending the event. The usual suspects are all there: Bethesda, Activision, Capcom, Square Enix, Ubisoft and more. Strangely - two major game companies are not present in this list: Nintendo and Microsoft. Microsoft and Nintendo have already confirmed their presence at E3 2020 - so it’s unclear why they aren’t on the list.

You can see the list below:

I wonder how many new game reveals these companies are planning?

On a related note, The Game Awards producer and creator Geoff Keighley recently announced that he's dropping out of E3 2020. Keighley previously acted as the host of E3 Coliseum, which featured interviews and gameplay presentations from developers throughout E3 every year. On Twitter, he stated:

For the past 25 years, I have attended every Electronic Entertainment Expo. Covering, hosting, and sharing E3 has been a highlight of my year, not to mention a defining part of my career. I’ve debated what to say about E3 2020. While I want to support the developers who will showcase their work, I also need to be open and honest with you, the fans, about precisely what to expect from me. I have made the difficult decision to decline to produce E3 Coliseum. For the first time in 25 years, I will not be participating in E3.

This comes as particularly surprising, since Keighley mentioned that he was working with E3 to solve, “some of its challenges,” last year. Clearly, those plans fell through. Interestingly, he also told Polygon, “I just don’t really feel comfortable participating given what I know about the show as of today.”

This isn’t the first big name to skip out on E3 2020, either. Sony previously announced that they would be skipping the event as well. E3 2020 could still be massive however, as it is a prime platform for Microsoft to show off their next-generation console (the Xbox Series X) to the public.
