Update (22/12): The list shared on 9GAG is false, and we sincerely apologise if anyone was misled by the incorrect entries. So far, the free games that have been given away on the Epic Store as part of their Holiday Sale 2020 are listed below, and we will be updating this list as Epic reveals more titles over the next two weeks.

  • Dec 18: Cities: Skylines
  • Dec 19: Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty
  • Dec 20: The Long Dark
  • Dec 21: Defense Grid: The Awakening
  • Dec 22: Alien: Isolation
  • Dec 23: Metro: 2033 Redux
  • Dec 24: Tropico 5
  • Dec 25: Inside
  • Dec 26: Darkest Dungeom
  • Dec 27: My Time in Portia
  • Dec 28: Night in the Woods
  • Dec 29: Stranded Deep
  • Dec 30: Solitarica
  • Dec 31: Torchlight 2
  • Jan 1: Jurassic World Evolution

If for some unfathomable reason you have just returned from being marooned on a desert island and as such do not have an Epic Games account, now is the perfect opportunity to go and create one. After all, you certainly wouldn't want to miss out on the fifteen free games they're giving away in the week leading up to Christmas all the way into New Year's Eve.

Starting from tomorrow, Dec 17 up till Dec 31, one game will be given out for free every day via the Epic Games Store, on top of the current Free Games that Epic usually gives out fortnightly. Epic hasn't yet released the official list of games that can be redeemed over the next two weeks, but there's a post on 9GAG that suggests the following titles will be up for grabs:

  • Dec 17: Dying Light
  • Dec 18: Resident Evil 3
  • Dec 19: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • Dec 20: Mass Effect: Andromeda
  • Dec 21: Assassin's Creed Origins
  • Dec 22: Metal Gear Solid V
  • Dec 23: The Evil Within 2
  • Dec 24: Far Cry 5
  • Dec 25: Fallout 4
  • Dec 26: Borderlands 3
  • Dec 27: Monster Hunter: World
  • Dec 28: Dragon Age: Inquisition
  • Dec 29: Horizon Zero Dawn
  • Dec 30: Ghost Recon Breakpoint
  • Dec 31: Hitman 2

Even if you just scrolled through briefly, it doesn't take a genius to know that most, if not all of those games are mid-to-top-shelf titles that are definitely worth getting (except maybe Andromeda), especially since we don't have to fork out a single cent for them.

Of course, at this point in time, it's nothing but speculation - there's no way of knowing whether this list really is what Epic has in mind, but we'll find out tomorrow when the game redemption goes live. Either way, it doesn't change the fact that there are 15 games up for grabs over the next two weeks, and that's as sweet a deal as any. Happy holidays!
