WeWork launches its largest location in the APAC region

WeWork has launched its largest location in the APAC region in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District (CBD). WeWork 21 Collyer Quay was formerly the HSBC headquarters and has a net lettable area of more than 220,000 square feet. The building features fully furnished shared and private office spaces, living-room-style collaboration work lounges, an auditorium, a business centre and a sky bar offering panoramic views of the Singapore skyline. Amenities also include a wellness centre operated by dedicated fitness provider Just Jym, a cafe operated by leading health and wellness-focused cafe The Living Cafe, and a barista station run by Sarnies.

 

MyRepublic launches PAAS Encore under spin-off called MyRepublic Digital

MyRepublic Digital, a MyRepublic spin-off has launched with Encore, a cloud-native, all-digital platform built with BSS/OSS features. The company has a product-centric approach focused on successful business execution. For instance, the company’s Encore platform is pre-configured and ready out of the box, offering unmatched deployment times and cost-efficiencies for operators looking to enter new markets.

 

Workato adds its automation services to AWS

With the increasing demand for automation, Workato has added its automation services to AWS to better serve customers in Singapore and the APAC region. Workato customers will now be able to deploy locally available end-to-end automation solutions securely and effectively, from a centralised cloud. Workato can simultaneously deploy updates to multiple data centres across all the regions it operates in, to minimise service disruptions and ensure that Workato’s customers globally will get the latest software updates immediately.

 

Seagate launches next-generation Exos X advanced storage array in Singapore

Seagate’s next-generation, rack-mounted Exos X advanced storage array is now available in Singapore. Powered by Seagate’s sixth-generation controller architecture, it has twice the performance of the previous generation and enhanced enterprise-class durability. To help protect the stored data, Exos X systems incorporate ADAPT (Advanced Distributed Autonomic Protection Technology) erasure coding solution with Seagate’s innovative self-healing storage technology ADR (Autonomous Drive Regeneration). It is available via Seagate distributors.

 

Are Singapore workers falling out of love with video collaboration?

Logitech today released the results of its hybrid meeting survey, which polled more than 1,000 white-collar workers in Singapore. The survey found that 54% of respondents who have joined a hybrid meeting virtually felt that they had fewer opportunities to build rapport amongst participants.39% felt their input would be valued more if they were attending the meeting physically, and 38% felt less included as compared to in-person meeting participants. 

While 60% of respondents agree that hybrid meetings would be more productive if all participants had an equal chance to speak and contribute, 65% of those who participate in hybrid meetings in-person shared that they tend to engage more with participants that are in the same room.

 

BeyondTrust and NCS bring PAM to Singapore customers

BeyondTrust and NCS are bringing Privileged Access Management (PAM), a core component of enabling Zero Trust security to customers here. A Gartner report has unauthorised privileged access now the primary method that threat attackers use to infiltrate an organisation's systems and network. So, with this partnership, BeyondTrust and NCS will enable organisations in Asia Pacific to address these cybersecurity challenges.

 

Dell’s new VxRail to boost application and networking performance for local customers

Jointly engineered with VMware, Dell’s new HCI solution supports Data Processing Units (DPUs) on VxRail. The new VxRail systems support new VMware vSphere 8 software that has been rearchitected to run on DPUs. Select VxRail systems now support VMware’s new vSAN Enterprise Storage Architecture (ESA).

 

Toku survey finds 67% of Singaporeans like resolving issues in-app

Toku’s new study based on a survey of 1,000 consumers in Singapore entitled “Singapore Consumer Engagement Report 2022”, found that 81.5% of customers expect customer service calls to be answered within 5 minutes, not exceeding 8 minutes, and not more than two touchpoints away. 13% were willing to disengage with the brand completely if there was no local customer support hotline.
