Envision Digital announces plans to set up a Net Zero Centre of Excellence and Digital Battery Centre of Excellence in Singapore
As part of Envision Digital’s expansion plans in Singapore and the region over the next five years, the company announced that it will be setting up a Net Zero Centre of Excellence (COE). The new Net Zero COE will be a research and innovation hub focused on promoting sustainability across three major sectors – green finance, transportation (air, land, sea) and large-scale real estate portfolios. Separately, Envision Digital will also establish a Digital Battery Centre of Excellence (COE) with an initial focus on safety, life cycle management, battery swapping and smart networks for Electric Vehicles (EV) and Energy Storage batteries.
Workforce Singapore launches a fintech talent programme to re-skill mid-career workers
Workforce Singapore (WSG) and the Singapore FinTech Association (SFA), launched a FinTech Talent Programme (FTP), aimed at re-skilling mid-career individuals to equip them with the skills needed to fill key technology roles within the fintech industry. The FTP operates under WSG’s Attach-and-Train CCP over a nine-month duration, where individuals are provided with structured training and work attachments, prior to job placement. Currently, 10 fintech companies, including NETS and YouTrip, have pledged their support to tap on this programme to onboard mid-career individuals.
Salesforce research finds less than 30% of enterprise apps are integrated, creating data silos
New research from Salesforce’s MuleSoft found that business application volumes within organisations in Singapore have increased nearly 10% in the past year, with each having more than 1,000 on average. However, less than 30% are integrated, creating data silos that lead to rising costs, duplicated work, productivity bottlenecks, and disconnected experiences. However, it reported that new technology is helping solve these problems and making integration easier.

S-RM opens new Singapore office to support demand in the region
Intelligence and cyber security consultancy S-RM, has announced the opening of its new office in Singapore, to support its clients based here and in the wider APAC region. With five team members on the ground in Singapore, the company is looking to double this number over the next year, until they hit 15 by 2025. Combined with its Hong Kong office, which currently serves as the base for a team of 20, S-RM is aiming to have 30-40 staff members operating across the APAC region by 2026.
Deel study finds that companies are still hiring staff for tech roles
Deel’s ‘State of Global Hiring Report’ found that the Asia Pacific (APAC) region emerged as the fastest-growing region hiring workers abroad. In Singapore, the top roles Singapore organisations are hiring for include Virtual Assistants, Software Engineers, Software Developers, Content Writers, and Business Development/ Sales.
