AMD today announced the imminent availability of a slew of business desktops from Dell, HP, and Lenovo which would feature its new Ryzen Pro enterprise desktop chips.

The Ryzen Pro processors are built around AMD’s Zen core architecture just like the consumer Ryzen chips, and support the same SenseMI capabilities and a suite of enterprise-oriented features called GuardMI.

This means things like Secure Boot and Transparent Secure Memory Encryption, in addition to a 36-month limited system manufacturer warranty instead of 12 months for consumer parts.

These commercially-focused desktops are targeted at a compute-intensive enterprise environment, and combine Ryzen’s strong multi-tasking performance with the security that businesses need.

Here’s an overview of the upcoming systems from the different brands:

  • Dell Optiplex 5055 desktop PCs
  • HP EliteDesk 705 desktop PCs
  • Lenovo ThinkCentre M715 desktop PCs
  • Lenovo ThinkPad A475 and A275 notebook PCs

All the desktop systems are expected to ship in the coming weeks, while the Lenovo ThinkPad A475 and A275 notebooks are slated for Q4 2017.

In addition, AMD confirmed that its Ryzen Pro mobile processors are scheduled for launch in the first half of 2018.
