The Edimax Gemini RG21S will be one of most affordable AC2600 routers you can buy
If you are looking to boost your home's Wi-Fi connection, Edimax's new Gemini RG21S router is a compelling option.
As an AC2600-class router, the Gemini RG21S supports speeds of up to 800Mbps on its 2.4GHz network and 1733Mbps on its 5GHz network. Of course, you'll need compatible devices to take advantage of these high speeds.
High speeds aside, the Gemini RG21S also supports MU-MIMO technology. MU-MIMO technology lets the router simultaneously to multiple devices. So again, if you have MU-MIMO compatible devices, you will be able to see a boost in performance.
The Gemini RG21S also supports Smart Roaming with Edimax's own Gemini RE11S range extender. This lets the router and range extender broadcast the same SSID, allowing your client devices to automatically select the device that is broadcasting the strongest signal.
In addition, the Gemini RG21s also has all the features found on today's high-end routers including QoS, support for guest networks, port forwarding, Wi-Fi scheduling, VPN and more.
The Edimax Gemini RG21S router is priced at S$279 and will be available from early March later this year.
