E3 2021: The reveal trailer for Forza Horizon 5 is staggeringly photorealistic

Is this real life or a car game? Who knows anymore.

Not only are Playground Games working on the highly-anticipated new Fable game, but they’ve also revealed Forza Horizon 5 - an insanely good-looking game even by this franchise’s standards. The sequel will hit Xbox consoles on 9 November, 2021 - just five months away!

Watch the trailer below:

Playground Games announced Forza Horizon 5 the right way. We got a gorgeous announcement trailer showing off the game’s crazy environments, followed by a 7-minute gameplay trailer taking us through Mexico where we check out some lovely street art. The developers seemed rather proud of the work they put into modelling these roads and skyboxes and to be fair, they have every right to be. My goodness.

Forza Horizon 5 is also getting some fun multiplayer modes, including one that has players run over bowling pins. Think of arcade-y Fall Guys-like multiplayer minigames, and you have a rough idea of what this installment is trying to accomplish. Just like past entries in the series, you’ll be able to race around with other players in multiplayer or simply explore the beautiful open world at your leisure. There will also be a vast collection of vehicles for you to collect, customise and upgrade.
