Domino's Pizza First to Introduce GPS Tracker in Southeast Asia

SINGAPORE, May 18, 2010 – To further enhance the level of consumer experience and satisfaction, Domino’s Pizza, one of the fastest-growing American casual dining concepts since making a comeback in Singapore, unveils today the “GPS Tracker” or ‘Great Pizza Service’ Tracker. The new web-based GPS tracking system allows customers the added convenience to keep tabs on the status of their food order from the moment it is ordered to the moment it leaves the store for delivery, thus enhancing the overall customer experience.

“At Domino’s Pizza, we are committed and passionate about providing great service. With access to innovative technology, we seek to further deliver a unique and superior experience for our customers in Singapore. The launch of the GPS Tracker in Singapore, allows all forms of orders including online orders, phone orders and over the counter orders to be tracked. From order placement, preparation, baking, boxing, packing, preparing for delivery and delivering – customers can view the status as their creation comes to life and is delivered to their doorstep,” said Ba U Shan-Ting, Chief Operating Officer of Domino’s Pizza Singapore.

Using a software proprietary to Domino’s Pizza’s, the GPS Tracker allows customers to use the Internet to watch their orders move through the production system and track the name of the rider delivering their food to them. More information on Domino’s “GPS Tracker” is available by logging onto www.dominos.com.sg Another added advantage to consumers is Domino’s Pizza nett pricing which is inclusive of GST, ERP and delivery service charge. Currently, the delivery service is available to residents living within a 10-minute drive time of the outlet.

Being a 50-year-old global brand with more than 8,900 stores worldwide, Domino’s Pizza has perfected the art of quick delivery service and set its first-class 30-minute delivery service benchmark in pizza delivery from 1973. To meet the 30-minute delivery guarantee, Domino’s Pizza has developed a work culture and discipline that is built around speed in the store and the GPS Tracker is a testament to this 30-minute delivery commitment as customers can track the cooking process and gauge when their pizza will arrive. On the backend, the GPS tracker, which also serves to alert staff of any hiccups along the 30-minute tracking, will boost the stores’ operational efficacy to the next level.

Three unbeatable guarantees

Domino’s, as the leading pizza delivery company, is the only company in Singapore to extend 30 minute delivery guarantee, product satisfaction guarantee and 15 minute take-out guarantee to its customers. If the delivery exceeds 30 minutes, customers will receive a free regular pizza voucher worth $22.80 for their next order. If a customer is unsatisfied with the products purchased, Domino’s guarantees a replacement of that product or a refund.

Domino’s pizzas at both outlets are certified Halal. To find out more about what is on the menu and delivery coverage areas, kindly log on to http://www.dominos.com.sg.
