DJI just announced a new consumer drone for beginners, the Mini 2 SE.
Similar to most of its consumer drones, the DJI Mini 2 SE weighs under 249g which means you do not need to register it for recreational flying with authorities in many countries. The compact and lightweight form factor also makes it easier to bring the DJI Mini 2 SE along for your holiday trips.
Despite its portable form factor, DJI says the Mini 2 SE can fly steadily and reliably in environments with level-5 winds up to 38kph. It is also equally impressive that the DJI Mini 2 SE offers a maximum flight time of 31 minutes and supports up to 10km of HD video transmission.
Other specs include a 3-axis gimbal system, a 1/2.3-inch CMOS camera for 12MP photos and up to 2.7K videos, 4x Digital Zoom, one-tap takeoff/landing, Return to Home mode, QuickShots and Panorama.
The DJI Mini 2 SE is available at US$359 (standard package) and US$469 (Fly More Combo with 2 extra batteries, two-way charging hub, shoulder bag, propeller guard, spare propellers, propeller holder and more spare screws.
