The new DJI Mavic Mini weighs a mere 249g and measures 140- x 82- x 57mm when folded. When the drone is unfolded with propellers, it measures 245- x 290- x 55mm. In comparison, the 300g DJI Spark measures 143- x 143- x 55mm. The new drone's 2,400mAh battery provides an impressive flight time of up to 30 minutes.

The Mavic Mini comes with 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor that can shoot up to 2.7K video footage at 30fps, 1080p video footage at up to 60fps and 12MP photos. It has a 3-axis gimbal to stabilise the drone during flight for smooth footage. While it has downward visual sensors for accurate landing, the Mavic Mini lacks sensors on the side which would be risky if it flies sideways and crashes into the wall or tree. The Mavic Mini has several pre-programmed flight manoeuvres known as QuickShots (Rocket, Circle, Dronie and Helix), which you can choose and it will execute an elaborate pre-set motion while recording footage.

DJI offers the Mavic Mini in two options. The standard option is priced at US$399 which includes the drone, remote controller, one battery, extra propellers, and all necessary tools and wires. The US$499 Fly More Combo option has all the components from the standard package with the addition of the 360-degree Propeller Cage, two-way charging hub, a total of three batteries, three sets of extra propellers and a carrying case. The Mavic Mini is available for pre-order today and will ship from 11th November 2019.
