DJI just unveiled two new drone models at IFA 2017.

The one-year-old Mavic Pro has been updated with the Platinum model, which features a slightly longer flight time (30 minutes versus 27 minutes) and up to 60% noise reduction during takeoff/landing. The propellers also have a new aerodynamic design for better noise control performance.

The Phantom 4 lineup has a new member, the Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian. Aside from the new, matte-gray color shell, the Obsidian also has a magnesium, electroplated and anti-fingerprint coated gimbal of better build quality.

The DJI Spark will also be receiving a software update in the coming weeks which will have a new "sphere" shooting mode. The "sphere" shooting mode allows users to take a panorama with "a fisheye lens effect".

The Mavic Pro Platinum is now available for pre-order on DJI's website with a retail price of US$1,099 (~S$1,490). Orders will begin shipping in September. The US$1,399 (~S$1,896) Mavic Pro Fly More Combo will be available at a later date. The Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian is priced at US$1,499 (~S$2,032) and will go on sale in September.
