Digg Releases Android App

Digg is a website that provides interesting news gathered from various sources on the Internet. Previously only available as a website, an iPhone app and an RSS reader, Android users can now download the app from the Google Play store. The app allows for users to access the Digg homepage and Digg Reader, the company's RSS reader that is meant to replace Google Reader. Users can also Digg, save stories and send to Instapaper, Pocket or Readability.

Digg was one of the more popular news websites on the web, but had completely dropped off the radar in recent years due to a dip in popularity.  After Betaworks bought the Digg name, website and technology, the website was revamped and relaunched last year.
