Detailed photos of Oneplus 2 smartphone leaked hours before official announcement
While we are sitting tight for the Oneplus 2’s official unveiling, leaked photos of the smartphone have already begun making their rounds on the web, thanks to one beta tester based in China who posted the drop to XDA Forums and Android Central, expressing his discontent with OxygenOS (Oneplus' in-house Android-based operating system). So let’s cut to the chase.
The 5.5-inch dual-SIM capable Oneplus 2 will run on an improved Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor called v2.1, driven by 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and comes with a fingerprint sensor said to be faster than a certain Touch ID, coupled with a USB Type-C port (making it one of the first phones to have one). It also boasts a generous 3,300mAh battery capacity to take advantage of the faster battery charging Type-C USBs provide. We also know that there are at least three versions of the Oneplus 2 with one version already on the waiting list to hit Singaporean shores. Pricing and retail options still remain as a mystery, but that should change in a few hours.
From the photos we have found, it does seem like most of the rumors are indeed spot-on.
Here’s a comprehensive overview of what we know about the Oneplus 2 thus far.
