You’re going to need all the help you can get.

According to a report by The Washington Post, PlayStation 5 players might not have to look up walkthroughs anymore when they get stuck in games. Demon’s Souls’ creative director Gavin Moore stated that their game comes with, “over 180 videos, each with increasing levels of visibility into what's needed to complete portions of the game, available via the interface.”

These videos are packed into the PS5’s Activities feature, as seen in Sony’s official reveal of the console’s UI. The Official Game Help part of PS5 Activities allows players to look up guides for the games they’re playing, showing them how to get past enemies, find collectibles and solve puzzles. These guides pop up in picture-in-picture style over your game, allowing you to speedily look up solutions without having to leave the screen.

And what better game to demonstrate this feature, than the original game in a franchise notorious for being punishingly difficult? The fact that Demon's Souls has, "over 180," video guides is impressive, but not entirely surprising - considering that it’s a first-party PS5 launch title. Sony likely wants to show off everything the PS5 can do here.

Moore also mentioned that the solid-state drive allows players to dive back in instantly after a death, instead of having to endure brutal loading screens. The DualSense controller’s haptics also gives players an extra level of feedback that lets them hit parries more accurately. “You can feel arrows rush past your head in this game. It’s quite disturbing,” Moore said. “I play the game and I instantly move my head sometimes."

With all these features, Demon’s Souls is shaping up to be a tremendous showcase of the PS5's abilities. Spider-Man: Miles Morales looks pretty good too, though!
