Earlier this month, Intel finally unveiled its new 11th generation Tiger Lake processors. And now, Dell has announced new XPS 13 and XPS 13 2-in-1 ultraportable notebooks that will be powered by these new processors.

Let's begin with the XPS 13. The XPS 13 is Dell's flagship traditional clamshell notebook. The design is unchanged, which means it's impressively thin and light. Just 14.8mm thick and 1.27kg heavy.

The XPS 13 feature 13.4-inch InfinityEdge displays with barely there bezels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The standard resolution for these displays is Full-HD+ (1,920 x 1,200 pixels), but more demanding users can spec for the sharper 4K Ultra HD+ display that bumps resolution up to 3,840 x 2,400 pixels.

Inside, users will find Intel's new 11th generation Tiger Lake processors and the XPS 13 can be equipped with up to a Core i7-1185G7 processor that also features Intel's new Xe integrated graphics.

Processor upgrades aside, the XPS 13 will also get faster LPDDR4x memory that runs at 4,267MHz.

The XPS 13 will come with two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports and it will support the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard.

The Dell XPS 13 is certified by Intel's new EVO platform branding and it will be available here starting 2 Oct 2020 and prices will start at S$2,099.

The XPS 13 2-in-1, on the other hand, has an updated design so that it now has slimmer bezels around the displays. Dell says the bezels above and below the display have been shrunk significantly. However, I'm not sure many people will notice given how thin they already are.

At any rate, the XPs 13 2-in-1 remains impressively thin and light for a convertible notebook. At just 14.35mm thick, it's even thinner than the clamshell XPS 13. And it weighs just 1.32kg.

Like the XPS 13, the XPS 13 2-in-1 has a 13.4-inch touchscreen display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. You can have in Full-HD+ or 4K Ultra HD+ resolutions.

Inside, the XPS 13 2-in-1 is powered by Intel's newest 11th generation Tiger Lake processors and the XPS 13 2-in-1 can be equipped with up to a Core i7-1185G7 processor that also features Intel's new Xe integrated graphics. This is the same for the XPS 13.

The XPS 13 2-in-1 also gets faster LPDDR4x 4,267MHz memory and it will feature two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports and support Wi-Fi 6.

The XPS 13 2-in-1 also meets Intel's new EVO branding requirements and it will be available here starting 2 Oct 2020 and prices will start at S$2,299.
