Looking for a tablet that you can take with you no matter the weather, temperature, or external conditions? The Dell Latitude 7230 is a 12-inch fully rugged tablet that has been tested to MIL-STD 810H specs for durability. This means that it gets drop-tested from up to four feet and temperature-tested to withstand the most extreme conditions.

Windows-based, it comes in three Intel-powered variants, starting from an Intel 12th Gen Core i3 processor up to a Core i7 range. They also can be specced up to 32GB of RAM, up to 2TB of storage, and all variants have Intel Iris Xe graphics powering the 16:10 FHD touchscreen display. Plus, despite its ruggedness and IP65 rating for water and dust protection, it has a maximum weight of just 1.6kg.

What is nice about the Dell Latitude 7230 is that it has user-replaceable, dual hot-swappable batteries meaning that users can carry a spare battery with them and swap them out in the field. With each having up to 20 hours of battery life users can have more than enough power to keep them going no matter the situation in the field.

It also comes with features like an infrared camera, a front camera with a privacy shutter, an 11MP RGB rear camera with a shutter door and flash, an optional smartcard reader, and optional 5G connectivity. Ports include two Thunderbolt 4 USB Type C, a headphone jack, USB Type-A, microSD, Nano SIM slot, and an expansion I/O port.

It also comes with a broad portfolio of accessories like a new detachable keyboard that connects directly to the tablet's dual locking latches to become a hybrid 2-in-1 laptop. A shoulder strap and hand strap ensure it's never too cumbersome to use. There are also different handles for different carry needs.

This is hardly Dell's first rugged tablet rodeo with this Latitude looking like a direct replacement for the Latitude 7220
