One of the hallmarks of working from home has become a desk strewn with cables, webcams, headphones, speakers, and mics, as we look for that perfect setup that balances privacy with the need to keep in touch with colleagues, partners, and customers online.

To solve all this, Logitech has announced the Logi Dock, an all-in-one docking station that also serves as a speakerphone and has one-touch meeting controls. Logitech added that they are planning to get it certified for Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.

These docks, as opposed to hubs, tend to be powered and can thus connect to more devices. Both these docks and hubs have become more popular over the past few years as devices moved to USB-C and Macs lost ports as well.

The Logi Dock has a number of connectivity options. Image courtesy of Logitech.

Designed to reduce clutter on desks, the Logi Dock features two USB Type-C ports and two USB Type-A ports, along with DisplayPort and HDMI connections. This means it only needs one cable to connect to up to five USB peripherals and up to two monitors, while charging your laptop up to 100W.

When used as a speaker or for a video call, the Logi Dock can use its six noise-cancelling microphones to drown out any disturbing background noise when on a call. When not in a meeting, you can use it as your PC speakers and rock out to music with its stereophonic audio and enhanced bass.

While you can connect the Logi Dock to any Bluetooth headset or earbuds, when paired with Logitech's Zone Wireless headset and Zone True Wireless earbuds, you can swap audio automatically between the dock or whatever Logitech headphones or earbuds you choose to use with the audio switch function.
