D-Link has just released two new Wi-Fi cameras – one for outdoor use and another for indoor.

The indoor model is the one you see above. It's the DCS-8526LH. It records in Full-HD at up to 30fps. Its field of vision is 120°.

It also has automatic motion tracking and can pan up to 340° and tilt up to 100º. Along with enhanced AI, it automatically detects human motion so it won't be triggered unnecessarily.

Using built-in infrared LEDs, it can also shoot up to 5 metres in the dark. However, it doesn't have a built-in spotlight.

You can save footage to a microSD card or to the cloud or NAS. It works with Google Assistant and Alexa.

The D-Link DCS-8526LH is currently available exclusively at Challenger and hachi.tech and it is priced at S$179. If you are a ValueClub member, it is just S$119.

The second camera is the DCS-8630LH and it's designed for outdoor use. It has a weather-resistant rating of IP65 so its impervious to dust and can withstand low-pressure water sprays. It can also work between -25° to 45°C.

It doesn't pan or tilt but it has a fairly wide 150° field of vision. It shoots at Full-HD and at up to 30fps.

It has infrared LEDs that lets it see up to 7 metres in the dark. And if that's not enough, it can turn on its built-in 400-lumen spotlight.

Using AI, it can detect human motion and it also has an added glass break detection that listens out for the sound of breaking glass. If it detects intrusion, it can start recording and also sound a built-in 100dB siren. It also has a two-way microphone and speaker.

You can save footage to a microSD card or to the cloud or NAS. It works with Google Assistant and Alexa.

The D-Link DCS-8630LH is currently available exclusively at Challenger and hachi.tech and it is priced at S$169. If you are a ValueClub member, it is just S$145.
