Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' first trailer bodes well for its September release

Although we'll probably never get tired of seeing Keanu Reeves as the rough, tough rocker Johnny Silverhand, the occasional change of pace (and face) in Night City is always welcome to have.

After all, CD Projekt RED's sprawling dystopian metropolis is an absurdly vast place, and behind every neon-lit street corner is yet another story just waiting to be told. Case in point, the first trailer for Cyberpunk Edgerunners has just dropped, and all things considered, this one's already going on the binge list for September 2022

Produced in collaboration with Studio Trigger, which also worked on anime series like Kill la Kill and Darling in the Franxx, among numerous other projects, Edgerunners is a 10-episode series that tells the tale of a young kid learning to scrape by on the streets of Night City. To make ends meet, he decides to become an edgerunner, a type of mercenary outlaw, throwing his lot in for a chance at a better life.

As mentioned above, the series is scheduled to arrive on Netflix sometime during September, though neither CD Projekt nor Studio Trigger has provided a concrete date. Oh, and if you're looking for that snazzy song you hear in the trailer, it's called This Fire by Franz Ferdinand. You're welcome.
