Cyberpunk 2077 continues to improve with every patch. The latest update adds support for NVIDIA's DLSS 3, the next generation of the company's neural graphics technology that uses artificial intelligence to upscale images for better quality, while still improving frame rates. Check out more details of how it works here.

With DLSS 3, GeForce RTX 40 series owners can enjoy Cyberpunk 2077 with every setting and ray-tracing option maxed out for the best image quality, without compromising performance.

DLSS 3 offers realistic shadows and lighting, making Night City look better than ever. The game uses several ray tracing techniques to render the massive future city at incredible levels of detail. The current version of the game uses ray-traced shadows, reflections, diffuse illumination, and ambient occlusion.

Turning on Psycho mode in the ray-traced lighting settings will also reveal ray-traced global illumination as sunlight bounces realistically around the scene.

The new patch for the CD Projekt Red title now includes AI network enhancements for DLSS frame generation that better take advantage of game engine data.

At the same time, UI stability and image quality have been improved during fast movement.

NVIDIA is also claiming up to a 3.3x performance boost with a GeForce RTX 4090 at 4K with DLSS 3 enabled. Elsewhere, the GeForce RTX 4080 reportedly sees a 3.8x improvement.
