Creative has just unveiled a new soundbar at CES 2020 called the SXFI Carrier.

The SXFI Carrier was jointly developed with Dolby Laboratories and it's a distillation of all the audio know-how of the two renown sound companies.

At 88cm in width, the SXFI Carrier is fairly compact insofar as soundbars are concerned. Yet, it is classed as a Dolby Atmos Speaker System (DASS) and Creative claims it's able to produce "moving audio" thanks to a custom Dolby design.

Apart from the custom Dolby design, the SXFI Carrier also features design elements gleaned from Creative's flagship X-Fi Sonic Carrier soundbar.

Completing the package is a 10-inch wireless subwoofer. The wireless design provides greater flexibility in positioning the subwoofer in any room.

Naturally, the SXFI Carrier features Creative's Super X-Fi technology and it can be experienced through the soundbar's headphone output, making it handy for late night movie and listening sessions.

As for connectivity, Creative says the SXFI Carrier will come USB-C and USB-A ports, an HDMI eARC port, and two HDMI 2.1 ports. It will also feature Bluetooth so it can be easily paired with mobile devices like your smartphone and tablets.

No word yet on exact availability and pricing, but Creative says the SXFI Carrier will launch sometime in Q2 2020 and will be priced under US$1,000.
