This could be how Apple is designing the camera bump on the 2019 iPhone
Here's a detailed look at how Apple could be designing the controversial square camera bump on the back of the 2019 iPhone models.
The most controversial design feature of the upcoming iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max is the rear square camera bump. Apparently, Apple has gone to great lengths to design this feature and tipster @OnLeaks with CashKaro.com have the details on its engineering.
As mentioned in the previous two leaks, Apple is believed to be using a new and unique rear panel made of a single glass panel which will include the square camera bump. The objective is to make the bump blend in more, which is similar to how Apple designed the camera bump with aluminum on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
To help readers understand Apple's engineering feat, @OnLeaks and CashKaro.com published updated close-up renders of the square camera bump which shows it enclosing three smaller individual bumps surrounding the camera lenses. There are also smaller bumps to give the 3D effect that can be seen through the glass of the main square bump.
If you look closely, there is a circular glass appearing on top of each of the three camera lenses which is also surrounded by a thin ring. @OnLeaks added that the bump color will match the color variant, which is somewhat in line with what analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported. Kuo claimed that the cameras will be specially coated in black so that they can blend in better with the surrounding bezel for an ‘inconspicuous’ look.
