There’s another snack-proof keyboard for the more peckish among you. Chips and soft drinks are great, but they’re best kept within the confines of their respective containers and not splayed all over your keyboard.

That said, accidents do happen, and that’s where Corsair’s K68 RGB keyboard comes in. Like Razer’s new BlackWidow Ultimate mechanical keyboard, the K68 RGB has a degree of spill resistance, so it’ll survive small mishaps.

It also offers per-key RGB lighting, whereas the BlackWidow Ultimate only comes with single-color green LEDs. However, if you’d prefer to keep things simple, Corsair also has a regular K68 keyboard without RGB LEDs that it announced last year.

That said, the K68 RGB’s IP32 rating is less robust than the Razer keyboard’s IP54 rating (the K68 RGB technically isn’t dust resistant), so the latter looks like it’ll hold up better to liquid and dust ingress in theory.

If you’re interested in the specifics, an IP32 rating affords protection against tools and thick wires more than 2.5mm thick, and dripping water when the keyboard is tilted up to a 15-degree angle.

Each individual keycap has a rubberized wall around it to keep out liquid, but the rubber shield doesn’t touch the key stem, which is why it isn’t completely waterproof.

You’ll have a choice between Cherry MX Blue or Red switches, and the keyboard also comes with dedicated media controls and removable palm rest.

It currently retails at US$119.99.
