Corsair is getting into the gaming chair market with the T1 Race

Corsair just became the latest company to release a gaming chair. And yes, this means a racing-inspired design and talk of dense foam cushions, adjustable arm rests, and a wide range of colors.

If you’re familiar with what companies like DXRacer and Secretlab make, Corsair’s feature set should hold few surprises.

The T1 Racing, as Corsair has dubbed it, features so-called 4D arm rests that can be adjusted across all three axes or swiveled to a more comfortable position. The seat can also be raised or lowered, and the backrest can recline manually up to the complete 180-degrees.

In addition, there’s a built-in tilt mechanism that allows you up to 10 degrees of freedom, and you can slide the height adjustment lever inward to lock it.

The chair is covered with PU leather, which is pretty much the standard offering when it comes to gaming chairs. Corsair also talked up the steel frame and thick foam cushions, so it should be fairly comfortable and durable (although there’s no way to say for sure without trying it out).

It comes with neck and lumbar pillows as well, but we really can’t say that we’re a fan of that quilt-like pattern on the seat.

The T1 Racing sits on nylon caster rollerblade wheels, which actually look narrower than those on rival offerings. It’s again difficult to say how this will pan out in practice, but at the very least, we have Corsair saying that the casters won’t scratch your precious flooring.

The chair is available in five colors – blue, red, white, black, and yellow – and costs US$350.
