Cooler Master’s MasterBox TD500 shows off your hardware with a clear edge-to-edge side panel
Cooler Master has announced the local availability of the MasterBox TD500, a new mid-tower case that boasts a full edge-to-edge clear side panel to show off the innards of your rig.
However, this is targeted at a more affordable price point, and the side window is an acrylic panel instead of the tempered glass found on so many cases today.
That said, Cooler Master has taken steps to help the case stand out from the crowd. It features what the company calls a three-dimensional diamond-cut design on the front bezel and side panel, which supposedly creates different lighting effects from different angles.
The case comes with three pre-installed 120mm RGB LED fans (and one regular 120mm spinner in the rear), and these are in turn hooked up to the included RGB controller that lets you control the lighting effects with a push of a button.
Cable management has taken precedence as well, and the MasterBox TD500 features covers for the power supply and the 24-pin ATX power connector for a cleaner look. In addition, you get 19mm of space behind the motherboard tray for routing your cables.
Finally, there’s decent support for further cooling options, and it will accommodate up to a 240mm radiator up top and a 360mm radiator in the front. There’s also room for the largest graphics cards, where the absence of any hard drive cage allows it up to 407mm of clearance.
The MasterBox TD500 is available to buy now at S$109.
