Despite what the company's name might imply, Cooler Master has had zero chill when it comes to their recent releases. Case in point, it's been barely a week since they rolled out their new Caliber Cooling Series X1C and R2C gaming chairs, and here we are announcing yet another addition to the family - the sturdy yet snazzy GD160 Gaming Desk

Sporting a edgy yet minimalist design, the GD160 is a great fit for both gamers and content creators. As Cooler Master touts it, this gaming desk is not only built for practicality and durability, but was also designed to be ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing. The tabletop measures 160cm x 75cm, while the legs feature three adjustable height levels - 71cm, 75cm (default) and 79cm. Note that the height adjustments are done manually via shifting the position of the screws used to sustain the table height and it's not electronic or crankshaft based adjustments. On the positive side, that would also mean the table won't be expensive. Here's a video of the self assembly of this table:-

In terms of material, it utilises chipboard and steel-based construction that can easily support heavy-duty user implements, such as multi-monitor desk clamps and water-based cooling systems. At maximum, it's able to accommodate up to 100kg worth of weight, which should be more than enough for even the heftiest PC setups on the market.

Apart from its construction, the GD160 also includes several interesting features that are not only useful for gaming, but even regular day-to-day uses too . For example, the underside of the table comes equipped with a handy cable management tray to help keep your setups tidy, while the corners of the table are chamfered to prevent accidental cuts from brushing against them. Furthermore, the belly trim of the desk is even shaped in such a way that allows users to get in closer to the action, and it pairs well with the standard-issue ergonomics that many modern gaming desks feature.

That's not all, though. The surface of the desk is an impressive feature in and of itself. To be more specific, it's actually a full-sized mousepad that offers high-precision tracking across the entire surface, on top of being water-resistant too. This means you won't have to worry as much as you might with a regular mousepad if you accidentally spill your iced coffee, because all you'll have to do is wipe it up.

As for pricing and availability, the Cooler Master GD160 Gaming Desk is now available on Singapore shores and is priced at S$499 per table on Cooler Master's e-store at Lazada. (We heard the 12.12 offer price is quite good, so do check it out.) For more information, head on over to the official Cooler Master page.
