Chinese TV maker KTC has announced the 55L83F, a curved TV that the company claims is the first to be launched in China.

Detailed specs of this 55L83F remained elusive at this moment, though we do know that it uses a curved OLED panel (likely 55 inches, judging from the model name) and goes as thin as 8mm. KTC didn’t mention the resolution in its press release, but it’s pretty safe to assume that this is a 1080p set, since the only 4K OLED TVs we know of come from LG (the 65-inch EC9700 and 77-inch EG9700). KTC also touts wider viewing angles, higher contrast, and 25% higher color gamut versus a typical LCD TV (again, we can only posit KTC is referring to the standard sRGB/Rec.709 color gamut) for the 55L83F. And apparently, the TV incorporates a “built-in advanced octa-core processor” to speed up general and smart TV operations.

Pricing and availability details of this KTC 55L83F curved OLED TV are unavailable at this point in time. But looking at KTC's previous releases, if you want to get one, your best chance is to go to China.
