China's Consumers Association requests Apple to investigate bricked iPhone 6/6s

Samsung is not the only phone maker coming under fire from consumers in China; Apple may be facing a similar crisis after "a considerable number" of iPhone 6 and 6s users complained that their devices shut down abruptly.

The China's Consumers Association (CCA) claims that the iPhones shut down with more than 50% battery charge. Other iPhones shut down in colder weather. In both cases, the iPhones could not be turned on even after plugging into the charger.

Apple is said to be notified by the CCA to conduct an investigation on this matter so as to protect consumer rights. With Apple struggling to gain foothold in the Chinese market, this news could potentially affect sales of the iPhones in the short term.
