MSI's foray into the gaming handheld space with the MSI Claw was first announced in CES 2024, and there has been quite a fair bit of buzz around it - not least because it's the first Windows-based gaming handheld to feature an Intel mobile processor.

Here's a quick recap.

Unlike the ROG Ally and Legion Go gaming handhelds that are powered by an AMD custom Ryzen Z1 processor that the company specifically made for such devices, the Intel processor in the MSI Claw is a Core Ultra 7 155H. If that sounds familiar to you, that's because it is a high-end notebook processor of the Meteor Lake series that has 16 cores and 22 threads at its disposal. For graphics, the Claw is powered by the Core Ultra 7's integrated 8-core Arc GPU, which runs at up to 2.3Ghz.

Naturally, we'll share our thoughts and opinions as soon as we get our hands on a review unit. But in the meantime, Challenger Singapore has announced that they are 'exclusive reseller' for the MSI Claw.

There are two versions available for pre-order; the lower-end Claw with a Core Ultra 5 135H processor and 512GB of SSD storage goes for $1,069 (click here to pre-order) while the top-end with the faster Core Ultra 7 155H processor and 1TB of SSD storage is available for $1,299 (click here to pre-order). Both will come with a 2-year warranty.

Challenger is running a pre-order promotion with cashback (up to $25.98) from now till 22 February, and purchases will be fulfilled from 23 February onwards on a first come first serve basis.
