35 years ago, the original Final Fantasy was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System. One of the earliest of the Japanese Role-Playing Game (JRPG) genre to have taken off, alongside contemporaries like Dragon Quest, it has cemented itself in the mind of gamers around the world as a leading role-playing game franchise. 15 mainline games (along with a number of other spin-offs and related games) later, it's still going strong, with Final Fantasy XVI set to release next year.

And to celebrate 35 years of the franchise's existence, Final Fantasy is collaborating with UNIQLO for a new UT (UNIQLO T-shirt) collection. This comes as part of the franchise's larger 35th Anniversary celebrations (for which you can find the website here), and keeping in line with the soon-to-be 16 main games, UNIQLO will be launching 16 adult t-shirts.

These aren't just shirts with random Final Fantasy motifs haphazardly slapped on though; the 16 shirts correspond to the 16 main Final Fantasy games, with each shirt taking graphics and key visuals from the game that they are associated with, some examples being:

Alongside these 16 shirts, UNIQLO is also promoting a special deal involving limited edition playing cards. Those who purchase two or more shirts at a time will be eligible to receive a deck of 35th Anniversary Final Fantasy playing cards featuring graphics from the 16 games:

Keep in mind that there's only a limited quantity of these cards, though, and that they're only available at UNIQLO's Orchard flagship store, or if you purchase shirts through UNIQLO's website.

The collection as a whole is slated to be released on July 11th (Monday). The entire range will be available at UNIQLO's flagship store at Orchard as well as on UNIQLO's website, with select designs of the collection appearing at all stores. Each shirt will cost S$19.90, and will span UNIQLO's XS to 3XL men's sizes, with the Final Fantasy I and II shirts also being available at 4XL.

If this collection piques your interest, you can take a closer look at the designs on UNIQLO's Final Fantasy feature page here, which showcases the designs for all 16 shirts to help you decide before the collection fully launches.
