CD Projekt Red's latest update for Cyberpunk 2077 has hundreds of bug fixes
The game’s getting closer to being playable on consoles, it seems.
CD Projekt Red have released the next big patch for Cyberpunk 2077 and just as promised, it’s a big one. The Patch 1.2 update adds hundreds of bug fixes and other gameplay adjustments to the game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It's also coming to Google Stadia later this week.
Patch 1.2 is a massive 33GB update on PCs, and 44GB on PlayStation - so you might want to clear out some storage space in advance. CD Projekt Red’s patch notes read like a full-length novel, but it looks like the update will finally address the game’s weird police AI among other things. They won’t load into the environment so quickly anymore, nor will they appear so close to the player.
You also won’t hear annoying voice lines during certain questlines, like the repeated phone calls whenever you’re near a Delamain cab or Jackie praising your shooting when you’re actually meleeing enemies. Arguably the most important fix is that V finally sleeps on their bed like a normal human being, which players previously poked fun at relentlessly. There are also a couple of crash fixes that will, “make a bigger difference on last generation consoles and lower performance machines,” according to the developer.
Cyberpunk 2077 is still missing on the PlayStation Store, so it remains to be seen if these fixes are enough for Sony to consider putting it back up for purchase. Chances are that since the game still seems to suffer from framerate issues and visual bugs, that won’t happen anytime soon. You can check out the full patch notes here.
