On-demand streaming services like Netflix will be the future of home entertainment. And the war for your TV and your eyeballs is only getting starting.

Although the market is currently dominated by Netflix, Disney will enter the fray with Disney+ later this year, as will Apple with Apple TV+, and WarnerMedia with HBO Max.

To ensure that they stay competitive, CBS and Viacom have announced that they would reunite to form ViacomCBS. The two company split in 2005.

The two companies can call on a huge collection of recognizable shows, franchises, and networks including Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, and Transformers.

Together, the two companies will have a vast warchest of content that spans over 140,000 TV episodes and over 3,600 movies.

This will enable the company to better compete in the streaming wars against Disney, WarnerMedia, Netflix, and Apple.

It's a great time to be a couch potato.
