Casio’s new Sheen SHB-100 is their first ladies watch with smarts

The Sheen SHB-100 is a ladies dress watch with a difference – it offers precision time-keeping across the world thanks to its ability to connect to the Casio Watch+ application on your smartphone. The app in turn, connects to internet time servers across the world to automatically get the time at your location, saving you the hassle of manually adjusting your watch every time you travel. This time correction is automatically conducted four times a day via your smartphone, ensuring that you always have correct time, even after taking daylight savings into consideration.

The Sheen SHB-100 uses an extra dial to provide world time.

The SHB-100 also physically displays both world and home time simultaneously on its inset dial at the 8 o’clock position. This dial features an overlapping twin ring design distinguished by two different colored rings, making for a motif that speaks to the watch’s connection to world time. Switching between time displays is easy – you can use the app, or a simple button press on the watch itself.

The case itself has a wide 35mm diameter face with sparkling, multidimensional index marks formed using microscopic techniques specially developed by Casio’s leading production facility in Yamagata, Japan. Finally, a pair of Swarovski crystals mark the 12 o’clock position, adding a touch of elegance to the piece.Tough Solar technology is also employed in this watch, allowing it to convert solar energy into electric power thanks to the shadow-dispersing solar panel in the face. The excellent efficiency of this panel not only drives the typical watch functions, but also allows the SHB-100 the power to execute the various functions that call on smartphone linkage.

Three different color options for the Sheen SHB-100 (Bi-color, Peach Gold, and Silver).

The SHB-100 comes in Silver, Bi-color, and Peach Gold. More lustrous than silver, and more elegant than pink gold IP, the Peach Gold colorway was specially developed by Casio using an ion plating process and so is unique to the SHB-100.

The SHB-100 will be available at all Casio G-Factory stores in Singapore from July 2016, but pricing has yet to be released.
