Remember the smartphone brand Essential which was founded by Andy Rubin and shut down last year? Well, it is now part of Carl Pei's Nothing company.

According to the 9to5Google report, recent filings at the U.K Intellectual Property Office reveal that Rubin signed over ownership of Essential to Nothing Technologies Limited. The application was made as early as 11 November, 2020 and the process was completed last month.

Nothing now owns all existing trademarks, logo and branding of Essential. It is unclear at the moment if Nothing also obtains the patents held by Essential. Earlier this month, Pei shared with Bloomberg that the first product from Nothing will be a pair of wireless headphones.
