Nothing, a lifestyle tech startup started by Carl Pei (ex-founder of OnePlus), officially announced a virtual event happening on 23 March 2022.

According to its press statement, announcements entail its “2022 roadmap” and a “community investment round”, which begins at 2 PM GMT (same day 10 PM in SGT).

Not much was said about its 2022 roadmap, but the statement hinted at a product launch with the following quote:

“For too long, the consumer tech industry has been dominated by the same players, offering customers uninspiring and staid products. Nothing represents a bright, new future – combining innovative design with carbon-neutrality and a forward-thinking approach to help us all re-imagine how we use and interact with our tech,” said Ted Persson, Partner at EQT Ventures.

In case you missed it, the founder of Nothing was seen at MWC 2022 talking to high-profile executives, hinting at the possibility of a smartphone launch. The founder left OnePlus to start his own lifestyle technology company, but curiously launched a pair of true wireless earbuds as Nothing’s maiden foray into consumer electronics.

Perhaps the 23 March event might see a return to Carl Pei’s roots. Folks interested in hearing what Nothing has to say can RSVP here.
