The Canon IVY Rec camera is the company’s latest crowdfunding project. This action camera is very portable due to its unique form factor. It looks like a cross between a carabiner and a USB thumb drive. Its clip doubles up as a viewfinder.

It will feature a 13MP 1/3-inch CMOS sensor that shoots full HD at 60fps. It also boasts of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity options. It’s great for outdoor usage as it can by submerged in water up to a depth of a meter, for up to 30 minutes. The Canon Ivy Rec does remind us of Google Clip as the latter comes with a clip for hands-free, AI-powered capture. It might also pose some competition to incumbents like the DJI Osmo Action as well as the GoPro Hero 7.
