Canon targets students and SOHOs with two new Pixma printers
Canon has brought two new sub-S$200 multifunction printers into Singapore for students and SOHO users looking for affordable print options.
The Canon Pixma Ink Efficient E4570 and TR4670S both use two ink cartridges each rather than ink tanks.
The Pixma E4570 can print up to 400 pages of text documents with the PG-47 black ink cartridge, while the CL-57S colour cartridge can print up to 180 pages. The Pixma TR4670S uses the PG-745S black cartridge and the CL-746S colour cartridge to print 100 pages in black and 100 pages in colour respectively.
They have the same print speed and resolution at 8.8ipm in black and 4.4ipm in colour and 4,800 x 1,200 dpi. Even the monthly duty cycle is similar at up to 1,200 pages a month. But you ‘ll need to change ink cartridges a few times to hit that.
Both printers can also print, scan, copy, and fax as well as supporting Apple AirPrint, Mopria (for Android) mobile printing and Canon Print Service (Android plugin) for direct printing. They are also compatible with voice command options like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, so users can print things like documents, colouring pages, origami, and shopping lists using their voice alone.
Pricing and availability
Both printers are available now from Canon authorised dealers with the Pixma E4570 and TR4670S priced at S$199 and S$169 respectively.
