With Canon’s new Selphy CP1300 printer, everyone can get in on the fun

Canon has just updated their Selphy printers with the new CP1300. The new printer largely builds upon the capabilities of the previous CP1200, but adds a new Wi-Fi Shuffle print mode that allows up to eight devices to be connected to the printer simultaneously.

Wi-Fi Shuffle print mode means everyone can get in on the fun.

In this mode, everyone’s images can be easily combined to a single collage, as the printer is able to combine images from different users and print them in a single photo. A variety of print sizes are available for selection – from as small as a Photo ID (50 x 50mm) to a full Postcard size (100.0 x 148.0mm). And there’s also a new 2x6 layout feature (2 sets of 4 images in a 2x6 inch area) that makes it easier for you to create your own photo booth style layouts, so there certainly are plenty of options available for print.

The new GUI certainly seems more user-friendly.

Also new, is an icon-based user interface (UI), making it easier for you to navigate through all the various functions and settings available. There’s also new View by date and Multi-playback jump functions to make it easier for you to go through all the images stored on the printer so you spend less time searching and more time printing.

Scroll through icons and not lines of text with the new CP1300.

The Selphy C1300 comes in Black, White and Pink.

Print direct from your smartphone by using the Canon PRINT/Inkjet SELPHY application, or via AirPrint if you’re using an iOS device. Android devices can also print via using the Mopria Print Service. Of course, USB drives, SD cards and print via USB cable are always options.

Like the CP1200 before it, the CP1300 also takes charge via the optional Battery Pack (NB-CP2LH), so you can truly bring it everywhere. It gives you up to 54 prints on a single charge.

The Selphy CP1300 comes in a choice of Black, White and Pink. Pricing and availability have yet to be announced, but we’ll be sure to update this piece once we get word.
