Canon has today launched the Pixma TS307, a wireless-enabled inkjet printer that supports Canon’s Print Inkjet/Selphy mobile app for easy “smartphone copy”.

With rated print speeds of 7.7 ipm in mono and 4.0 ipm in color, the TS307’s smartphone copy feature essentially lets you print a copy of the document you’ve snapped with your phone. You can place the document that you want to copy on the top cover of the printer (which has grid lines for alignment), and upon taking the photo, the app will work its edge-detection magic automatically before printing it. Alternatively, you can save it in PDF format for archival or to email to other people.

In addition to USB 2.0 connectivity, the Pixma TS307 also supports wireless LAN, and plays nice with mobile and cloud printing protocols such as Apple’s AirPrint, Mopria for Android, and Google Cloud Print. Mobile devices can also connect to it directly using the Access Point mode.

The Canon Pixma TS307 is now available at all Canon authorized dealers at the recommended retail price of S$59.
