Canon Pixma Ink Efficient G models get two new AIO updates

Canon updated three of its Pixma Ink Efficient G models earlier this year.

It is now updating two more. More specifically, these are the Pixma Ink Efficient G7070 AIO and the Pixma Ink Efficient Monochrome GM4070 AIO.

Both AIOs and can print, copy, and scan but the G7070 also allows users to fax. They each have a 35-sheet Automatic Document Feeder and can deliver up to 8,300 black-and-white pages from the bundled ink bottles. Both also come with a two-line LCD panel makes it easy to perform and confirm printer settings.

As the higher-end model, the G7070 also prints 7,700 colour documents using the bundled ink bottles. It can also print 4R-sized photos in 37 seconds and supports printing of borderless images on glossy papers up to A4 size.

The GM4070 is an ink tank + ink cartridge hybrid device. Designed primarily for those who print in black-and-white most of the time, it can also take a regular Canon colour ink cartridge to transform it into a colour printer.

Printing from your mobile, the Cloud and your network

The printers allow users to print and scan from iOS and Android mobile devices (smartphone, tablets and laptops) and connect to social network platforms like Facebook and Instagram through the Canon Print Inkjet/SELPHY app. Users will also be able to access photos on Dropbox and Google Drive via the Canon PIXMA Cloud Link service.

The PIXMA G7070 also supports Apple AirPrint, Mopria and Canon Print Service (Android plugin) for direct printing.

Efficient design helps drive fast ink filling

The new ink bottle design makes the running cost of inkjet printers almost as cost-efficient as laser printers. And as proven in our HardwareZone Tech Awards event, Canon has a wide range of business printers whether inkjet or laser-based for SOHO to enterprise users.

A new ink bottle design drains ink readily into empty ink tanks, with no need for squeezing during the refill process. A two-way channel in the ink bottle funnel regulates air pressure intelligently so that ink filling stops automatically once the maximum ink level is achieved.

You can see the remaining ink in the window on the right

The front-facing ink tanks are designed with a see-through window so that users can easily see the level of remaining ink.

The Pixma G7070 and the GM4070 are now available and are priced at S$499 and S$359 respectively. Interested readers can also check out Lazada and Shopee for further deals.
