Pinch iMessenger app to raise funds for the intellectually challenged

Affle, along with ESPN STAR Sports, have banded together to raise awareness and generate donations to support the Special Olympics, the world's largest sports organization supporting children and adults with intellectual abilities.

The app, known as Pinch iMessenger, is the first multi-platform phone messenger application that runs on various mobile platforms. Users seeking to chat with friends and family across different platforms through their existing data or WiFi for free will be able to do so with this unique app that runs on platforms such as iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), Android, Symbian (Nokia), Blackberry, Windows Phone and J2ME. Users registered to Pinch can also choose to send messages to their friends through its mobile browser. Affle is also actively working with local telcos to enable messages to be sent free through SMS; a feature that other mobile messaging apps rarely support. However, SMS support will be dependent on telcos and Affle plans to add support for more countries in the near future.

For now, all proceeds from the sale of the Pinch iMessenger app, which costs only $0.99 in Apple's iTunes Store, will be donated to Special Olympics. Customers who want to donate more can do so within the app through credit card or Paypal.

This limited time campaign will run between now to December 24, 2011. So, if you want to do your bid to help Special Olympics Singapore, head on over to www.pinchapp.com for more information about the app.
