Brother Announces Compact Desktop & Redesigned Mobile Scanners

Brother has launched two new compact desktop scanners, ADS-1100W and ADS-1600W, as well as two redesigned mobile scanners, DS-620 and DS-720D.

Bundled with a complete suite of scanning software including PDF conversion software, desktop manager, and business card management programs, the new models and Wi-Fi enabled and come with advanced features like image optimization with automatic de-skew, blank page removal, automatic image rotation, and background removal to maximize productivity.

The ADS-1600W comes packed with advanced scanning features including simplex/duplex color scan speeds of up to 18ppm. Its 2.7-inch color LCD touchscreen allows users to scan directly to cloud services including Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, Google Drive, Evernote, Dropbox, Box, and SkyDrive. Users can also access a variety of scan-to destinations such as FTP, Network, E-mail Server, USB Flash Drive, as well as scan directly to compatible mobile devices using Brother’s iPrint&Scan app.

DS-620 & DS-720D


With faster single-pass scan speeds of up to 7.5ppm, the scanners can easily accommodate all types of media - from paper documents and business cards, to thicker laminated materials such as insurance cards, driver licenses or ID cards. For scanning on-the-go, both mobile scanners are powered by a USB cable which can be connected to a laptop or desktop. The DS-720D also boasts enhanced duplex scanning speeds of up to 5ppm/10ipm.
