BOE's OLED panels reportedly failed Samsung's quality tests for the Galaxy S21

The Galaxy S21 or next generation Galaxy S flagship phones are likely to continue using Samsung's made OLED panels.

Korean news site DDaily claims that BOE's OLED panels failed to pass Samsung's quality testing for the Galaxy S21. However, there is still time for BOE to make refinements to its OLED panels to make the cut.

Market research firm DSCC reported last month that Samsung was in talks with BOE to secure 6.67-inch flexible OLED panels for at least one Galaxy S21 model. The switch to BOE-made panels was said to help Samsung lower the production costs for the Galaxy S21 lineup. Nonetheless, BOE is rumoured to have secured a deal with Apple to supply OLED panels for two iPhone 12 models this year.
