The OnePlus One is fast approaching the one-year refresh cycle and it seems that the company is not yet ready to announce its successor.

According to Bloomberg, the successor - the OnePlus 2 - has a confirmed launch schedule in the third quarter (July to September). OnePlus is also said to be launching a cheaper model before the end of the year.

This isn't the first time we are hearing of a second handset model; co-founder Carl Pei shared earlier this year that the second handset will be catered to a different market segment who values design over specs.

OnePlus sold nearly one million units of its flagship smartphone last year, which is an impressive number for a device that was in the market for 8 months. The company also unveiled its home-grown mobile platform, OxygenOS which is available for download since April 5.
