Bixby Voice is finally available in U.S English

After months of delays, the English version of Bixby Voice is finally available to the Galaxy S8 and S8+ users although it is limited to consumers in the U.S and South Korea.

In its press release, Samsung states that Galaxy S8 and S8+ users in the two countries can update the app to the latest firmware version to start using Bixby Voice in U.S English.

With full voice capabilities for U.S. English, Bixby can help users get more out of their connected lives. With voice capabilities, Galaxy S8 and S8+ users can easily activate voice commands to get more done in their day – simply and efficiently. Users can ask Bixby to complete simple tasks, like turning on the flashlight or taking a selfie, or complex tasks, like “remind me to pick up milk at the grocery store,” or “find photos I took in Spain and create an album called ‘Vacation.’”

Bixby Voice was launched in South Korea two months ago, but "big data issue" delayed the launch of Bixby Voice in English which was reportedly scheduled in end June. According to the South Korean company, it plans to expand Bixby Voice with additional languages and devices in the near future. Below are four official videos from Samsung that show the Bixby Voice in U.S English.
